About Illimani Cactus Cayons

This fun, long trip takes you through some of wildly eroded desert canyons that lie between La Paz and the massive Illimani mountain. Traveling on a flowing dirt road throungh cactus fruit plantations, the snowy peaks of Illimani are surrounded by multicolored canyons.

About Full-on Yungas
Death Road

There are several loops that connect the World's Most Dangerous Road with lesser known corners of tropical paradise. For instance, leave La Paz througin Palca Canyon and head up to the shoulders of the mighty Illimani. Then drop down through the clouds to an arid canyon full of ancient ruins continue on into the steamy Sur Yungas. We then continue along the 'Ruta de la Coca' to Nor Yungas. From here it's up the infamous Death Road and back to La Paz.
